Happy February, folks!
Here is a photo of me with a giant moon at the Epic Intergalactic Headquarters. This week, I’m going to share my recent visit to this incredible place and give you some humble tips on adding some creativity to your workspace.
Despite reading this article a while back and knowing what to expect, I still couldn’t believe my eyes as I explored the Epic campus: a Wild West themed building with a horse carriage inside, a massive dining hall that mimicked the train station from Harry Potter, tree houses that served as functional conference rooms – the list goes on and on! I was amazed going down slides between floors and walking through intergalactic hallways that seamlessly connect multiple buildings. If you happen to be close (maybe for a ski trip to Mt. Horeb), I highly recommend seeing it with your own eyes. Here is the info on visiting the campus.
As expected, I returned from my trip inspired. While our workspace is cool and functional, it could use more creativity. When asked during an interview, Judy Faulkner, CEO of Epic systems, said: “creative spaces inspire creative solutions and better problem solving.” I tend to fully agree, having already discovered and solved some puzzles of my own by the time I left the Epic campus. As I started contemplating where to begin evaluating our space, I came across this article. I hope you find it as helpful as I did.
As Pablo Picasso once said “Everything you can imagine is real,” so let’s imagine, create, and share.
